Database-as-a-Service¶
Database as a Service, popularly known as DBaaS in cloud computing allows users to move, store and manage databases without the need to set up physical hardware or install software. It abstracts the underlying infrastructure, providing automated provisioning, scaling and high availability. By offloading administrative tasks like infrastructure provisioning, patching…etc, DBaaS enables developers to focus entirely on application logic and data modeling.
Key Features¶
| Feature | Description |
|---|---|
| One-click deployment | Provision production-ready database instances through an automated workflow. |
| Reduced operational overhead | SITE Cloud manages infrastructure, updates, backups, monitoring, and availability. |
| Seamless integration | Integrates with other SITE Cloud services for data flows and access management. |
| Unified visibility | Provides a centralized view across deployed databases. |
| Automated backups | Supports scheduled backups and point-in-time recovery. |
| High availability | Supports replication and failover mechanisms. |
